Indian cricket team opener Gautam Gambhir, manager Mayank Parekh and video analyst C.K.M. Dhananjay have tested negative for H1N1 virus.
Specific tests for the virus were conducted, as a precautionary measure, on these three members of the Indian team here on Saturday after they developed mild symptoms.
Meanwhile, paceman Santhakumaran Sreesanth, who has tested positive for the swine flu, is recovering well in a local hospital. He is likely to be discharged in three to four days.
G.S. Walia, joint secretary, Punjab Cricket Association, said, "The tests for swine flu would only be conducted on cricketers and officials of both teams who develop symptoms. Others could go in for a general check-up. No member of the Sri Lankan team has shown any symptom so far. The situation is under control. There is no need to panic."
He added, "Sreesanth's vital parameters are stable." Those who have closely interacted with the paceman during the last four to five days have been put on preventive treatment.
Virat Kohli has been drafted into the Indian sqaud as a cover for Gambhir.
