Real Madrid says Zinedine Zidane will coach its B team next season after the French great spent the last campaign as Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant with the first squad.
Zidane, 42, will coach a team that was relegated to Spain’s third division last season.
Zidane played for Madrid from 2001 until retiring in 2006. He returned to work for the Spanish club as a consultant in 2010, and took his first coaching job under Ancelotti.
