UEFA president Michel Platini has announced he will seek re-election next year.
Thursday’s announcement was made during a UEFA meeting in Tel Aviv.
Platini, who took office in May 2007, says he’s pleased with his performance as president.
He says UEFA has accomplished “quite a lot” during his term and he believes he can do more.
A vote by UEFA’s 53 members is scheduled to take place next year in Paris.
