Tottenham Hotspur’s record signing Roberto Soldado pledged on Tuesday to score a hatful of goals and help the club qualify for the Champions League.

The 28-year-old striker, who scored 80 goals in 145 games for Valencia, signed a four-year deal worth a reported 26 million pounds on Monday.

“Spurs is a great club and a club that deserves to be in the Champions League,” the Spain striker told Spurs TV .

“I know it’s a hard league and we have to work and play to that level to get there and I will do my best for the team.” “My main aim is to get that number one striker shirt on the pitch and obviously, to score goals and try to get us into the Champions League, where we deserve to be.”
