Real Madrid says Cristiano Ronaldo is set to renew his contract with the Spanish club.

Madrid says on its club website that it will hold a press conference on Sunday for “the renewal of Cristiano Ronaldo.” The club has not disclosed the length or financial details of the new contract. The Portugal forward’s current contract expires in 2015.

Ronaldo has scored more than 50 goals a season for the last three years with Madrid after joining in 2009 on a then-record transfer from Manchester United.

Madrid broke the record by paying Tottenham 100 million ($132 million) to acquire winger Gareth Bale at the close of the summer transfer window.
