Real Madrid has completed the signing of World Cup top scorer James Rodriguez, the European champions said Tuesday.
The 23 year-old Colombian idol has signed a six-year contract with Real, who will reportedly pay AS Monaco around 80 million euros (108.2 million dollars) for Rodriguez.
Colombia’s World Cup star will be formally presented to the fans and media at the Estadio Bernabeu later Tuesday.
He is Real’s second summer signing, after Germany midfielder Toni Kroos. The whites are also poised to sign Costa Rica goalkeeper Keylor Navas from Levante.
Meanwhile, they are reportedly planning to sell off midfielders Sami Khedira and Angel di Maria, in order to make room for Rodriguez and Kroos.
