Arsenal's Mesut Ozil ( left) and Bayern's Thiago Alcantara challenge for the ball during the Champions League round of 16 second leg soccer match between FC Bayern Munich and FC Arsenal in Munich, Germany on Wednesday.

Arsenal will learn later on Wednesday the extent of Mesut Ozil’s hamstring injury, amid predictions that the Germany midfielder could be out for up to a month.

Ozil came off at half-time in the midweek Champions League draw at Bayern Munich — a result that knocked them out of the competition — and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitted he fears the worst.

“He has a hamstring problem that looks quite serious,” Wenger said.

“For sure he’s out [of Sunday’s match against Tottenham]. We have to make a scan to see how bad it is, but he’s out for at least a few weeks. I hope it’s not too bad.”
