Star striker Odafa Okolie failed to make an impact as Mohun Bagan were held to a goal-less draw by ONGC in a dull Round Five match of the I-League here on Friday.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) held Mohun Bagan goalless in the fifth round of the I-League football tournament at the Nehru Stadium here on Friday.

In an even contest, the pressure was on Mohun Bagan which had won its last two matches, to score. But, Bagan was unable to capitalise on its chances. Bagan’s star striker Odafa Okolie had an injury midway through the first half and was unable to work his usual magic. Syed Rahim Nabi missed a chance close to the right post, which Snehashish Chakraborty had set up for him. ONGC did press hard early and towards the end, but it was Bagan that controlled the contest for the most part.
