Brazil stayed top of Confederations Cup Group A with a 2-0 defeat of Mexico on Wednesday.
Star of the show in the northern port of Fortaleza was youngster Neymar, who scored the first goal and set up the second for substitute Jo.
Neymar came close to adding a second goal for Brazil on three occasions. Mexico dominated the final half hour, to the chagrin of the capacity crowd, but they lacked a cutting edge in attack.
Brazil are top of the group with six points — with a place in the semifinals guaranteed — while Mexico are bottom after losing their first two matches.
