Goalkeeper Amrindrer Singh will continue to turn out for Mumbai City FC in the fourth season of Indian Super League. The franchise chose to retain the 24-year-old national U-23 captain. He made six first team appearances for MCFC last season in ISL 2016 and kept three clean sheets.

Winner of the Golden Glove award last season in ISL, the goalkeeper was named India skipper at the AFC U-23 Championships in Bangladesh last year. Amrinder Singh said: “I'm very happy to be back. Last season with the club was great. We finished top of the table. I’m back to complete the job and give fans a reason to celebrate.”

He represented Bengaluru FC last season in the I-League and was loaned to MCFC. Born in Punjab, he started at the Sports Wing Academy in home state before getting selected for the Pune FC academy, soon playing for the Pune FC first squad. Atletico de Kolkata took him on loan for one season for ISL.
