Lazio striker Miroslav Klose believes Germany is ripe for a major football title — and it could come as early as next year at the World Cup in Brazil.
Klose told Kicker magazine in an interview that a title will come “at the latest at the 2018 World Cup, therefore at the next three tournaments.” The 2014 World Cup will be followed by the 2016 European Championships in France, before Russia hosts the 2018 World Cup.
“Of course, we want to go as far as possible. And Germany will in any case at some point be first in the next tournaments, I have no doubt of that,” Klose said.
The tournament in Brazil will most likely be the last for the former Bayern Munich player, who is on 128 caps and accepts his international career would then be over.
