IMG-Reliance, promoter of the Indian Super League (football), has said that the invitation to bid (ITB) process will close on March 27 and that the winning bids will be announced in the second week of April.

In a statement IMG-Reliance has declared that there has been “unprecedented response’’ for the league from corporates, celebrities and present sports team owners for the ISL and that 30 ITB documents have been picked up from the promoter to show expression of interest.

Eight city teams will eventually give shape to the league from among Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
