Nine-man Bharat FC beat Goan giant Salgaocar FC 2-0 in an I-League round seven match at the Balewadi Stadium here on Sunday. This was its first I-League win.

Subhash Singh drew first blood for the host in the 23rd minute, following an assist from Kris Bright. The ball was delivered by Lester Fernandes from a corner, and Bright’s stinging shot came off Salgaocar goalkeeper Subrata Paul. Subhash made no mistake in slotting in the rebound.

In added time of the first half, Bright doubled the lead for his side following a spot-kick, earned after a foul by Subrata inside the box.
