Gonzalo Higuain was poised to leave Real Madrid for Italian giants Napoli on Wednesday, according to reports in AS and Marca.

Marca claimed that Napoli will pay around 37 million Euros for the 25 year-old Argentine striker.

If the deal is finalized, Higuain will become the third player sold by Real to Napoli this summer, following defender Raul Albiol and forward Jose Callejon.

Napoli are managed by Spaniard Rafa Benitez.

According to media reports, Real will use the money for Higuain to bid for Gareth Bale of Tottenham and Luis Suarez of Liverpool.
