Guus Hiddink will become Holland coach for the second time after the World Cup, the Netherlands Football Association (KNVB) said on Friday.

Hiddink will take over from Louis van Gaal, who will step down after the tournament in Brazil, on a two-year contract which covers the 2016 European Championship.

It will be Hiddink’s second spell in charge of the Netherlands having previously coached the side from 1994-1998, when he resigned after leading them to fourth place in the 1998 World Cup.
