ONGC is considering a Tripura government proposal for setting up a Football Academy to boost sports in the state, official sources said today.

Chairman of ONGC, Sudhir Vasudeva on Sunday assured Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar in Delhi that the proposal for setting up of the academy would be executed after examining the project proposal.

Tripura had won the 58th Junior National School Games football championship under-17 age group in Srinagar last week defeating Chandigarh by 7-6 goals.
