World Cup champion Germany has moved back into second place in the FIFA rankings behind Argentina.

The new rankings take into account the European Championship qualifiers in September, which ensured 2010 world champion Spain was back into the top 10 in sixth place after two wins.

Belgium is third in the rankings, followed by Portugal and Colombia.

Wales, which is closing in on qualifying for a tournament for the first time since 1958, climbed another place to an all-time high of eighth behind Brazil, which dropped two places to seventh.

Austria is also celebrating its highest-ever placing at No. 11 after sealing early qualification for Euro 2016.

The biggest mover is Liberia, which jumped 65 places to No. 95.
