The Dutch team arrived for the World Cup in South Africa on Sunday without Arjen Robben who has stayed behind for a scan on an injured thigh muscle.
Dutch coach Bert van Marwijk is still awaiting news on the Bayern Munich winger who limped off in Saturday’s victory over Hungary.
“There is nothing new. We are still hoping everything will be all right,” the coach said.
Robben had scored twice after coming on as a second-half substitute in Amsterdam. But, with three minutes remaining, he felt a sharp pain in his thigh muscle.
Van Marwijk said on Saturday that, if necessary, he would wait until the day before the first World Cup match on June 14 against Denmark for a final decision on whether to replace Robben.
The Dutch are also facing Japan and Cameroon in Group E.
Staff at the team’s hotel in Johannesburg were dressed in orange as they lined up to greet the Dutch team on their arrival.
