Spain coach Vicente del Bosque has announced a preliminary 26-man squad for the Confederations Cup, which includes captain and goalkeeper Iker Casillas and Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.
Casillas has been sidelined by Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho and not played a competitive match since breaking a bone in his hand in a Copa del Rey match in January.
Del Bosque once again relies heavily on Barcelona players, including midfielders Andres Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez and Sergio Busquets as well as forwards Cesc Fabregas and David Villa among nine players from the Spanish league champions.
The coach said the squad would be flying out to Miami on Tuesday to play two friendly matches in preparation for the Confederations Cup, which begins on June 15 in Brazil.
