Bali Gagandeep struck twice as Punjab blanked Odisha 3-0 in the 67th Santosh Trophy National football championship here on Friday.
Gagandeep’s goals, which came in the 41st and 54th minutes, helped Punjab top the three-team Group B with six points. Former junior international Prem Kumar had given Punjab the lead in the 14th minute. Punjab and Odisha had entered the quarterfinals earlier.
The results (qualifying round I, Group B): Punjab 3 (Prem Kumar 14, Bali Gagandeep 41 & 54) bt Odisha 0.
