Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery is out of Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with Borussia Dortmund after being diagnosed with a fractured rib, the club said on Thursday.
Ribery suffered the injury playing for France Tuesday in the 3-0 victory over Ukraine which has sent Les Bleus to next year’s World Cup finals.
Bayern said Ribery, 30, was also a doubt for Wednesday’s Champions League match at CSKA Moscow.
Coach Pep Guardiola is already missing midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger following ankle injury, while others still sidelined by injury are midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri, striker Claudio Pizarro and defender Holger Badstuber.
Borussia Dortmund will meanwhile be without the back four of Lukasz Piszczek, Neven Subotic, Mats Hummels and Marcel Schmelzer, as well as midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
