Gareth Bale scored a stunning 90th-minute winner as Tottenham Hotspur beat West Ham United to go third in the Premier League table on Monday.

Bale put Spurs ahead, but Andy Carroll levelled from the penalty spot before half-time.

Joe Cole then gave West Ham the lead before Gylfi Sigursson notched his first goal for Spurs to equalise.

West Ham keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen made a series of fine saves, but in the final minute Bale thrashed a shot into the top corner from 30 yards.

The win lifts Spurs two points above Chelsea in third, while West Ham remain 14th, six points above the relegation zone.
