New Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova said the Spanish club is looking to reinforce its defence and hopes to hold on to Dani Alves and Seydou Keita.
Vilanova, who signed a two-year contract on Friday to take over from Pep Guardiola, said “We want to add to our defence. We have had problems and have been forced to adjust at both left-back and centre-back.”
Guardiola’s former assistant also dispelled rumours surrounding the future of Dani Alves and Keita.
Sports director Andoni Zubizarreta said he would also discuss extending captain Carles Puyol’s contract, up at the end of next season.
