In a must-win game against Greece, Czech Republic winger Vaclav Pilar will look to score in a winning cause this time.

Pilar is expected to spread the game to the wings and also cut inside from left to provide support to ageing striker Milan Baros when the team is attacking.

Greece, without the services of two of its regular central defenders — Sokratis Papastathopoulos and Avraam Papadopoulos — might find him a handful.

For the 2004 champion, Sotiris Ninis (right) will need to fall back and help a makeshift defence deal with Pilar. However, he can't shy away from his offensive duties, and if Greece is to go for a positive result, the 22-year-old needs to do better in his wide attacking role.

Ninis will need to link up better with central players Giannis Maniatis and Giorgios Karagounis and send in more telling crosses from the right for the stocky Theofanis Gekas to take advantage of.
