Carlo Ancelotti was presented to the media as the new coach of Real Madrid on Wednesday, and promised a “season of happiness” for the whites.
“This season will be a season of happiness for Real Madrid,” said the 54-year-old coach, who has signed a three-year contract with Real.
“This is the most prestigious club in the world,” he added, “and we will push ourselves to play the best football.”
He replaces Jose Mourinho, who has returned to Premier League side Chelsea after a stormy three-year spell in Madrid.
Real president Florentino Perez called Ancelotti “one of the best coaches in the world...One day I told you, you would be my coach, and today that wish has come true.”
