Akram Moghrabi signs for Churchill

July 23, 2012 11:59 pm | Updated 11:59 pm IST - Panaji:

Churchill Brothers has signed Lebanon’s Akram Moghrabi to complete its foreign quota after failing to rope in Ghana striker Bismark Idan.

The Al Nejmeh striker, who is expected to arrive in Goa on Sunday, will be the second Lebanese player to sign for Churchill for the forthcoming season. The club will now have two Asian players for the first time. It was Lebanese defender Bilai (already signed by Churchill) who recommended Akram’s name, after its attempt to rope in Idan failed.

“He is a good striker and everyone knows him in Lebanon and he has scored six international goals,” Subhas Bhowmick, the technical director of Churchill, said.
