Fan celebrates Sachin’s birthday in unique style

A 42-year-old man celebrated master batsman Sachin Tendulkar’s 37th birthday in a unique style by showcasing his record in the Race Course ground here on Saturday.

Kishor Bedia claimed to be a fan of Sachin hired a tennis court in Race Course to celebrate Sachin’s 37th birthday.

Mr. Bedia made 30 feet by 30 feet cricket ground at the hired ground where he put 93 clay statues of Sachin each for his century along with placards showing his test match as well as ODI records.

Mr. Bedia working in Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) as class IV employees also ordered a 5 kg cake.

Besides, he displayed 3679 clay balls means the batsman has cracked the 3769 fours in his 20 year long international cricket career.

Mr. Bedia said he had been working on to celebrate Sachin’s birthday in a unique style since last two months and added that his friends supported him a lot to do this.

He however met Sachin only once when the maestro last time came to Rajkot to play ODI match.

Mr. Bedia spend Rs. 35,000 to celebrate Sachin’s birthday for which he took loan from the Sahakari Sharafi Mandli and will pay Rs. 1600 as monthly instalments.

Mr. Bedia said he wish Sachin on his 37th birthday to play for India in 2011 World Cup and get the cup for India.
