Delhi United defeated New Delhi Heroes 2-0 in a Group ‘B' match of the DLF-Delhi Soccer Association (DSA) senior division league at the Thyagraj Sports Complex here on Wednesday.
After a goalless first-half, Deepak Mehra drew first blood with a 58th minute strike. Rishi Kapoor extended the lead in the 69th minute.
In another match at the DDA ground (Jasola), Delhi Veterans held Ahbab Club to a 1-1 draw. Manish Thapa (41st) of Ahbab and Tarsem Lal (73rd) of Veterans were the scorers.
