Yuvraj Singh may have given the Indian team a reason to fret ahead of the semifinals after limping out following a game of football in training here on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old walked off gingerly, with strapping on his left ankle, after an hour of playing football.

The extent of the injury was not known immediately, but India will hope it is not a serious one. The camp will be thankful that the semifinal meeting with South Africa is only on Friday.

India team manager R.N. Baba said the squad had played barefoot on the advice of the fitness trainer.

Teams play football as a matter of routine, with the Indians known to be keen about it. —
