Rajasthan CA and KSCA XI produced a dramatic second day’s play in the Safi Darashah Trophy, with 20 wickets falling in what has shaped up to be a tense contest.
Responding to the visitor’s first innings score of 234, KSCA XI was bowled out for 122 on Tuesday, Vivek Yadav taking four for 15. K.P. Appanna then maintained his superb form to claim four for 39 as Rajasthan was dismissed for 169 in the second innings. Chasing 282 for victory, KSCA XI was 16 without loss at stumps.
Elsewhere in the city, KSCA President’s XI, Odisha CA, Haryana CA and Kerala CA were all comfortably placed in their respective matches.
In Mysore, an inspired spell of left-arm spin bowling by Swapnil Singh (six for 36) helped Baroda CA gain a first-innings lead of 46 runs over Andhra CA.
