Virat Kohli to get Umrigar Award

Harmanpreet and Smriti also to be felicitated

India captain Virat Kohli will receive the Polly Umrigar Award for the best international cricketer (2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons) at the BCCI awards, to be held here on Tuesday.

Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana are set to be maiden recipients of the award for best international cricketer (women) for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons respectively.

The winners: 2016-17 season: Polly Umrigar award: Virat Kohli; Best international cricketer (women): Harmanpreet Kaur; Col. C.K. Nayudu lifetime achievement award: Pankaj Roy (posthumous); BCCI lifetime achievement award for women: Diana Edulji (declined to accept); BCCI special award: Abbas Ali Baig and Late Naren Tamhane; Lala Amarnath award for the best all-rounder in the Ranji Trophy: Parvez Rasool (J&K); Lala Amarnath award for the best all-rounder in domestic limited-overs: Krunal Pandya (Baroda); Madhavrao Scindia award for highest scorer in the Ranji Trophy: Priyank Panchal (Gujarat); Madhavrao Scindia award for highest wicket-taker in the Ranji Trophy: Shahbaz Nadeem (Jharkhand); M.A. Chidambaram Trophy for highest scorer in under-23 Col.
