Veteran J. Arunkumar scored a big hundred as Vijaya Cricket Club handed Sangam CA a 259-run hammering in a KSCA Division IV (Group I) match here recently.

The scores : Vijaya CC (Malur) 315 for five in 50 overs (J. Arunkumar 161, Nithin Mulki 57 n.o.) bt Sangam CA 56 in 27.1 overs (Vincent four for 31).

Young Cricketers (2) 140 in 37.5 overs (Vivek 34, Ajay 29 n.o., Nagesh Singh three for 25) lost to Jeevanbhimanagar CC 142 for five in 29.1 overs (Subu 35, Ramchandra three for 25).

Unique CC 177 in 40 overs (Pramod 33, Ankit Uduppa three for 15) bt Ace Cricketers 90 in 37.2 overs (Rajesha four for 11, Harsha three for 18).

Crescent CC (2) 140 in 37.4 overs (Hrishikesh 48, Anoop three for 24, Ashu three for 42) lost to New National CC 141 for four in 36.2 overs (Fawwad 60 n.o., Syed 30 n.o., M. Saleem 27).

Hammond's CC 192 in 43 overs (Subramanya Raju 46, Aravind 36, Ravi Kumar 25, Suresh three for 40) bt Chinthamani SA 181 in 45.2 overs (Manikanta 60, Suresh 32, Vinay Gowda 26, Prasad three for 43).

Indiranagar Cricketers 218 for nine in 50 overs (Amriesh 61 n.o., Anuj Prasad 31) bt Yuvaka Sangha CC 183 in 47 overs (Vinay 42 n.o., Karthik 31, Vishwak 25).

Vivekananda Union CC 244 in 44.5 overs (Shivakumar 103, Samrat 32, Sohail 29 n.o., S.J. Manjunath three for 31) bt Young Boys CC (Kolar) 216 in 44 overs (Abhi 45, S. Manju 44, Chetan 33 n.o., Shiv Dutt four for 44).

Prasidh shines

Prasidh Krishnan's fine all-round effort propelled Carmel School (Padmanabhanagar) to a 265-run victory over Air Force School (Yelahanka) in a KSCA Cup (Division II) match here on Thursday. Prasidh made 79 in Carmel's daunting score of 324 before returning to take six wickets as AFS was dismissed for 59.

Sri Vani Education Centre 190 in 36.3 overs (R.D. Akshay 51, A. Akhil 29, S.P. Srinidhi 28, Karthik six for 38) lost to SKCH (CBSE) 191 for five in 43.4 overs (Sinchan 66 n.o.).

Narrow win

RVCE secured the narrowest of victories in the Dr. M.S. Ramaiah memorial inter-engineering colleges' cricket tournament here on Thursday, defeating AMCE by one run.

Set a target of 148 in 30 overs, AMCE seemed well on track but stuttered with the dismissals of Srinivas (53) and Suhas (47) off successive balls. Though the chasing side needed only 19 runs off the last three overs, with eight wickets in hand, it fell agonisingly short. Piyush returned figures of three for 45 for the victor.
