An all-rounder and a leg-spinner from Afghanistan have made it in to season 10 of the Indian Premier League.
Mohammad Nabi, an all-rounder, has represented Afghanistan in 72 ODIs and has scored 1,724 runs at an average of 29.22, with 116 being his best. Apart from a century, he has scored nine half-centuries. In 52 T20 internationals, he has scored 704 runs at an average of 17.60.
In the bowling department, he has taken 73 wickets with 4 for 31 being his best. In T20s, he has taken 56 wickets with 4 for 10 being his best. At the IPL 2017, he will represent defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad. He was bought for Rs. 30 lakh. He has also represented Afghan Cheetahs, Marylebone Cricket Club and Sylhet Royals in T20 games.
Rashid Khan, a leg-spinner with only 18 ODIs to his credit, is a useful batsman down the order. In ODIs, he has scored 286 runs with a highest score of 60. Rashid has taken 31 wickets at an average of 19.58 with 4 for 21 being his best. In 21 T20 Internationals, he has taken 31 wickets with best figures of 3 for 11. Rashid will also represent Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 10. He was bought for Rs. 4 crores.
