And that is for it today and we will meet once again tomorrow for the Super Eight matches. It wil be a cracker of contests as South Africa faces Pakistan and India takes on Australia in the two matches on Friday.

West Indies beats England by 15 runs in the second Super Eight match. The defending champion fell short. West Indies have won all the matches they have met against England. No need to say West Indies played well today. Eoin Morgan and Alex Hales after the fall of three quick wickets played well and brought England to the brink of the victory but Samuels excellent final kept them short of 15 runs.

2305 hours It is Samuels to bowl the final over and Morgan is on strike. 20.1 Morgan hits the first ball for a boundary, well tried by Pollard at the long-off boundary but the ball beats him and races the boundary. 20.2. Morgan plays straight to the bowler 20.3. Morgan takes a quick single and it is 18 off three balls. 20.4 Hales is out stumped and England needs 18 off two balls . 20.5 Butler takes a single and it is 17 off one ball. 20.6 Morgan takes a single and it is 164 for four and fell short by 15 runs.

2300 hours Rampaul to bowl the 19th over. Hales on strike (65) and Morgan on 52. 19.1 : Hales swings the ball through the mid-wicket boundary and Sammy saves the ball and they go through for three runs. 19.2: Morgan smashes the ball over the long-off boundary for a massive six and it is 150 for six. 19.3 Beautiful delivery from Rampual, Morgan swings and misses. 19.4 Morgan smashes the next ball to the crowd and it is another six from Morgan and England moves to 156 for three. 19.5 Morgan tries to smash the ball and takes a quick single and it is 157 for three 19.6 Hales swings and misses and the score remains at 157 for three and England needs 23 from the last over.

2255 hours 46 runs off 18 balls. Narine into the attack. Morgan tries to make room to the leg side but underedges the ball and reaches his fifty with a single and it is 45 runs off 17 balls. Hales hits the next ball for two runs and it is 137 for three. Hales takes a single off the next ball and England needs 42 off 15 balls. Morgan reverse-sweeps the ball and once again the ball lands in no-man's land and takes two runs and it is 140 for three. A wide from Narine and it is 141 for three. At the end of 18th over it is 141 for three. England still needs 39 runs in two overs.

2250 hours England needs 61 runs in 4 overs. Rampaul is being brought into the attack. He bowled beautifully in the first spell. Morgantries to hit the ball over the mid-wicket but got a thick edge and takes a single and it is 120 for three. Hales hits the next ball to the deep mid-wicket fielder and takes a single and it is 121 for three. Morgan top-edges the ball from Rampaul and the ball all the way went for a six. it is an excellent shot from Morgan and it is 127 for three. Morgan on 42. 2245 hours England needs 70 off 30 balls. Hales on 59 and Morgan on 28. Gayle continues and Morgan whips the ball and England takes a single and there was a shout for a run-out. Hales is in and England heaves a sigh of relief. Hales hits the next ball to the long-on fielder and takes another single and it is 112 for three. Morgan ships the ball through the mid-wicket fielder and beats the fielder at long-on and it is a boundary. England moves to 116 for three. Morgan once again sweeps but straight to the fielder at deep square leg and takes a single and it is 117 for three. 2240 hours Gayle continues. Gayle warns Morgan for backing up too much of the crease. Hales hit the first ball for a single and it is 87 for three. Morgan cuts the next ball to the point fielder Bravo and takes a single and it is 88 for three. Hales cuts the ball to the deep point and takes a single and it is 89 for three. Well bowled Gayle, pitching and cutting in sharply, Morgan misses the ball completely. Morgan sweeps the next ball over the square-leg boundary for a sis and it is 95 for three. 2230 hours Hales on 37 and Morgan on 7. Gayle continues and Hales takes two runs off the second ball and it is 68 for three. hales takes a single off the third ball and it is 69 for three. Morgan dancing down the track and hits through the covers for a single and it is 70 for three. Hales plays it straight to the sweeper cover and takes another single and it is 71 for three. Morgan reverse-sweeps the final ball to the point fielder and takes another single and it is 72 for three. The required run-rate is now about 13.40.

2228 hours Eoin Morgan comes in next. Samuels bowls. Morgan takes a single off the first ball and it is 56 for three. Samuels bowls a quicker one and nicely negotiated by Hales. Bairstow tries to hit the ball out of the park, underedged for a single and it is 54 for two. Hales hits the next ball straight to Gayle. Hales takes a quick single off the fifth ball of Gayle's first over and it is 55 for 2. Bairstow hits the last ball and it went like a rocket over the long-on boundary, but Pollard takes an excellent catch and Bairstow is out and it three down for England. Bairstow is out for 18. 2220 hours Narine comes into bowl the 9th over. Hales hits the ball to the sweeper cover and takes a single and it is 50 for 2. Bairstow cuts the ball to the sweeper cover and takes another single and it si 52 for 2. England now needs boundaries as the run-rate has crossed 11 runs per over. Hales sweeps the next ball to the square leg fielder for a single and it is 52 for 2. Good second over from Narine as only four runs were taken and England moves to 53 for 2.

2218 hours Badree into his fourth over and bowls his first ball short and Hales cuts the ball through the point for a boundary and it is 46 for 2. Lucky escape for Hales as the keeper misses the ball completely and a stumping chance goes. Bairstow takes a single and it is 48 for two. Badree completes his quota of 4 overs and it costed him just 20 runs and what an excellent spell from the young Badree.

2215 hours The captain Darren Sammy comes into the attack. Alex Hales plays defensively to the bowler and the score remains at 29 for 2. Hales plays the next ball straight to the point fielder and no run. Hales pulls the next ball over the square-leg boundary for the England's first six and moves to 35 for 2. Hales takes two quick runs off the next ball and it is 37 for 2. Hales on 26 and Bairstow on 11. Hales takes another single and it is 38 for 2. Bairstow paddle sweeps the next ball for a boundary and it is 42 for 2.

2210 hours Badree continues. The English batsmen scrapes through for two runs and it is 27 for 2. 2200 hours Rampaul continues and Bairstow plays straight to the fielder at mid-on and the score remains at 2 for 2. Bairstow pulls the next ball to the mid-wicket boundary for four and it is first boundary for England in this innings and moves to 6 for 2. A short ball from Rampaul was punished by Bairstow. The mid-off fielder throws the ball to the non-striker and the ball misses the stumps by a whisker and England batsmen takes a quick single and it is 7 for 2. It is Bravo at the mid-off. Luke Wright comes in and Rampaul takes the wicket of in-form Luke Wright straightaway. The ball pitched outside the off-stump and Wright edges straight to Chris Gayle in the first slip and it is 0 for 2 . Ravi Rampaul is on a hat-trick . Broad and Finn are the pick of the English bowlers

England is set to being their chase. With Luke Wright in form, can they chase down 180 runs set by West Indies? In the earlier group match against the Indians, England batsmen succumbed to Harbhajan and Chawla and were bundled out for their lowest total in T20 internationals.

Samuels plays the next ball defensively and no run. Samuels and Charles take quick single and it is 116 for one. Really quiet over from Samit Patel till now. Charles hit the ball straight over the bowler's head and takes two runs and it is just 4 runs off the 13th over and it is 118 for one.

2100 hours Luke Wright brought into the attack. Marlon Samuels taps the ball to the mid-wicket but no run. Samuels taps the next ball to the third-man and takes a single and it is 104 for one. Gayle dabs the next ball and takes a single and it is 91 for no loss. Gayle on 49 and Charles on 37. Charles now taps the ball to the third man and takes a single and moves on to 38 and it is 92 for no loss. Gayle is one short of his fifty and is now on strike. He takes the single and it's fifty for Gayle. It is 9th T20 international fifties for Gayle and it is 93 for no loss. The first Super Eight match between New Zealand and Sri Lanka went on to the Super Over, with both the teams finishing on 174. In the Super over, Sri Lanka batted first and scored 13 runs. New Zealand scored only 6 runs in the Super over and Sri Lanka won the first super eight match. T. Dilshan won the man-of-the-match award.

In the group stages, England, the defending champions, won the match easily against >Afghanistan but was thrashed by >India in the second match.

West Indies scraped through to the Super Eight with the match against >Ireland was washed out but with a superior run-rate. West Indies was beaten by >Watson force in their match against Australia.
