Commencing on its overnight score of one for no loss, TSC was bowled out for 234 after losing its last five wickets for 12 runs with part-time off-spinner Vijay.M.Bharathram claiming four wickets for zero runs. AG’s Office chased down the 24-run target in 3.2 overs.
Led by S. Karthick (117) and Tinu Yohannan (45), Alwarpet took the first-innings-lead (237) by a solitary run over UFCC (T. Nagar). In its second innings, UFCC finished on 190 for two with Kaushik Gandhi (100 n.o., 152b, 2x6, 6x4) notching up his second century of the season.
Globe Trotters, chasing Jolly Rovers’ mammoth first innings score of 423, ended on 376 for six. Skipper S. Anirudha (134, 157b, 15x4, 1x5, 4x6) and V. Aditya 56 (210b, 7x4, 1x6) added 181 from 45.4 overs for the third wicket, but still fell short of securing the first-innings-lead.
