Tendulkar honoured by Wisden India

Sachin Tendulkar won Wisden India 's maiden outstanding achievement award that he received at a function in Dubai on Saturday night. The event also kick-started the celebration series that will help fans meet the maestro and listen to his version of a fabulous career.

According to a press release, the crystal trophy gifted to Tendulkar featured a cricket ball resting on the pages of a book that listed his 100 international hundreds. The celebration series will have five more dinners over three years with the next one tentatively scheduled in Singapore.
