The 28th Sportstar Trophy Mumbai Cricket Association u-19 selection trial tournament will be held from September 17 to October 3, 2013.
The four teams — Vijay Manjrekar XI, Vijay Merchant XI, Khandu Rangnekar XI and Dattu Phadkar XI — will be announced by the MCA u-19 selection committee on Saturday.
Bomi Jamula, retired international umpire and current BCCI umpires educator/coach, will inaugurate the event on Sept. 17 at the Elf-Dilip Vengsarkar Academy ground, Oval Maidan. He is also an examiner and member of BCCI National Umpires Academy advisory panel.
Manjrekar XI has won the Sportstar Trophy 13 times, Merchant XI seven times, Phadkar XI five times and Rangnekar XI two times..
