Senior women’s inter-zonal cricket: South Zone takes lead

South Zone earned three points by virtue of taking a 107-run first innings lead against Central in a senior women’s inter-zonal cricket match in Kalyani on Wednesday.

In another game at the JU 2nd campus, North and West failed to finish one innings and shared two points.

At Kalyani: South 202 in 99.4 overs vs Central 95 in 54 overs (Harmanpreet Kaur 28 n.o., Samantha Lobatto 29, Shikha Pandey three for 21, Ananya Upendran three for 21) & 25 for no loss in 15 overs.

At Kolkata: North 277 for five decl. in 100 overs (Latika Kumari 40, Priya Punia 95, Mandeep Kaur 70 n.o.) vs. West 139 for nine in 93 overs (Smriti Mandhana 41, Sneh Rana three for 36, Preeti Bose four for 31).
