Kings XI Punjab captain George Bailey is confident that Virender Sehwag’s wealth of experience will boost the side in IPL-7.

After going through a rough patch, Sehwag, who scored the maximum runs (2382 at 29.77) for Delhi Daredevils in six seasons, has shown signs of getting back into the groove.

Bailey counted the benefits of having the explosive batsman in the side. “No doubt, he (Sehwag) will have a big impact. Having him around the group is a great thing. He is experienced and talented. Just having someone who has been such a great player across all formats, I think we can learn a lot of things from him,” Bailey told The Hindu during a telephonic interaction on Monday.

“It will be great for him to go out and play with freedom,” he added.

“We have got good balance, some experienced players and quality youngsters. Every team is good on paper and every side will be competitive.”
