India’s tour programme in the upcoming bilateral series against South Africa in November will be reworked as the gaps between some matches in the itinerary is not sufficient, said the BCCI interim president Jagmohan Dalmiya on Tuesday.
“The gaps between the Tests need to be looked into and there are a few more things that need to be rectified. We have informed this to our South African counterparts and the two boards are sorting it out amicably,” said Dalmiya.
As per the current schedule, India will tour South Africa for three Tests, seven ODIs and two T20s beginning on November 18 this year and extending till January 19, 2014.
Commenting on the recent reports of a spat between the Indian players Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina during the ongoing tri-series in West Indies, Dalmiya said the “matter is now over” as the players have already apologised to the team management after being asked to behave properly on field.”
