Ambati Rayudu, The Hindu has learnt from sources, has not got through the Yo Yo test.

He had been selected in the Indian team for the three-match ODI series in England beginning July 12.

Clearing the test is mandatory and the BCCI could name a replacement soon.

The strokeful batsman, it is understood, did not reach the benchmark score of 16.1.

Suresh Raina, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal, Washington Sundar, Manish Pandey and Siddhart Kaul also took the yo-yo test, under the watchful eyes of trainer Shankar Basu.

Senior players such as Virat Kohli and M.S. Dhoni too underwent gruelling tests on Friday and passed.

The England tour starts with the T20 leg on July 3 and the team is expected to fly out on June 21.
