The executive committee of the TNCA has approved the name of W.V. Raman, former India batsman, as the new coach of the Tamil Nadu Ranji Trophy team. Raman was in charge of the Bengal side last season.

The TNCA is expected to make a formal announcement soon.

There is a move to rope in former India all-rounder Bharat Arun as the Director of Coaching at the TNCA Academy. Arun is presently the head coach of NCA’s bowling wing apart from being the coach of the India ‘A’ and India under-19 teams.

His tenure with the NCA will be ending soon and the indications are that Arun has an open mind for a challenging job in Tamil Nadu, his home State.
