Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ijaz Butt has rejected Younis Khan’s resignation and expects the veteran batsman to remain captain until the 2011 World Cup.

Khan offered his resignation last week amid match-fixing allegations that have been widely rejected as untrue.

Butt said on Monday that he had not accepted the resignation and that if Khan remains fit, he would lead the Pakistan team at the next World Cup.
