Younis Khan and Asad Shafiq hit half-centuries as Pakistan reached 270-5 in the third and final one-day international against Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club here today.

The pair unsettled the Zimbabwean bowlers, who gave them too much width in a 97-run stand for the third wicket.

Younis faced 90 balls for his 81, smashing six boundaries and a six before hitting straight back to bowler Kyle Jarvis, who took a low catch in the 41st over.

Shafiq stroked three fours and a six from 72 balls to reach 51 before he was stumped by wicketkeeper Tatenda Taibu off Ray Price’s flighted delivery.

Elton Chigumbura returned figures of 2-36, removing opener Imran Farhat (37) and Shoaib Malik (14).
