North beats South

Rajeev Bajpai's all-round effort helped North defeat South by seven wickets and register its second consecutive win in the Sports Journalists Federation of India's (SJFI) 36th inter-zonal J.K. Bose Twenty20 cricket tournament here on Thursday.

In the other match, West beat East by 35 runs.

The scores:

South 144 in 20 overs (Satish Viswanathan 41, Roshan Thyagarajan 34, Satish Paul 28, Amit Chaudhary three for 23, Rajeev Bajpai two for 22) lost to North 145 for three in 17.4 overs (Rajeev Bajpai 57, Amit Chaudhary 28).

West 144 for five in 20 overs (Devendra Pandey 37, Sanjeev Samyal 35 n.o., Ripple Christy 42 n.o., Subodh Malla Barua three for 21) bt East 109 for six in 20 overs (Tahid Ali Talukdar 61 n.o., Ehtiram Ali three for 29).
