MP takes lead despite Jhunjhunwala century

A fighting century from Abhishek Jhunjhunwala (107) could not prevent Madhya Pradesh from taking a first innings lead over Bengal on the third day of the Group ‘A’ Ranji Trophy duel in Indore on Monday.

Responding to the host’s 342, Bengal was dismissed for 299. Paceman I.C. Pandey scalped five.

Madhya Pradesh was 135 for three in its second innings at stumps.

A. Sharma (56 batting) and U.R. Birla (60 batting) were together.
