Former Australian opener Justin Langer is upset at the leak of his secret dossier on England cricketers, saying it was meant only for visiting coach Tim Nielsen.
“I’m shattered and really upset - that was an email meant only for Tim Nielsen,” Langer said.
“It was private correspondence and if I had known it would find its way into the public domain, I would have put things differently - I definitely wouldn’t have used a word like ‘pussy’,” he was quoted as saying by the Daily Telegraph
“I guess time will tell if there is any backlash,” Langer said as the two teams will meet in the fifth and final Ashes Test, beginning on August 20.
England and Australia are level 1-1 in the five-match series.
Langer described English cricketers as “lazy”, “shallow” and “flat” in his dossier handed over to Ricky Ponting’s men.
