Lancashire’s Jordan Clark hits 6 sixes in 1 over

April 25, 2013 06:32 pm | Updated 06:32 pm IST - SCARBOROUGH, England

Lancashire said its all-rounder Jordan Clark has become only the fifth professional player to hit six sixes in one over, achieving the feat in a second XI match against Yorkshire.

Clark joins an illustrious list that contains former West Indies all-rounder Garfield Sobers (1968), India’s Ravi Shastri (1985), South Africa batsman Herschelle Gibbs and India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh (both 2007).

The English county said all of Clark’s sixes on Wednesday were slog-sweeps over the midwicket boundary from the bowling of left-arm spinner Gurman Randhawa.

Clark told the BBC that “I just remember feeling a bit of pressure on the last ball and thinking, ‘I have got to have a crack.’”
