A day after stating that he would like to “ > get close to the bowlers and understand their needs”, India coach Anil Kumble put his ideas into motion. Kumble dazzled those present at the National Cricket Academy ground here on Thursday by turning his arm over at the Indian team’s preparatory camp. The decorated leggie shuffled between seam-up medium-pace and spin, and was seen in action during both the morning and evening training sessions. Kumble spent a good amount of time interacting with the bowlers — speedsters and tweakers alike. The cricketers, who were forced to stay indoors due to persistent rain on Wednesday, were happy to ply their trade in the outdoors nets. The squad is likely to play a practice match at Alur Ground on July 3.
