Kochi will host the Deodhar Trophy, the inter-zone limited-over cricket championship, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium from March 10 to 13 next year. It will be the tournament’s debut in Kerala.

Kochi will also host the India-England One-Day International, Kerala’s first ODI under lights, on January 15. The Nehru Stadium is getting ready for the big game and a small function to mark the inauguration of the ODI organising committee was held here on Thursday.

India cricketer S. Sreesanth, who was present at the function, expressed the hope that he would be fit and available for the ODI at home.
